Are you working too hard? I don’t mean at work, but with your workouts. From a cardio vascular standpoint, what are you doing to move your body. So often the question is “Are we moving our bodies?”. This week I want you to ask the question, “How are you moving your body?”
What I know to be true in my own body/life is that when I want to make changes, I typically over-do it. I end up not helping my body and instead end up doing more harm than good. So I end up just burning sugars and not burning the fats that I’d rather leave my body.
So maybe this week you need to take a break from your heavy, high paced workout and instead learn how to effectively burn fat while you workout and more importantly how to effectively burn fat at rest. In order to do this, we have to understand how to work out.
Step 1. Make sure you are not over doing it and just burning the candles at both end. Start by just doing a moderate paced workout so you can tape into your fat storage. That may feel like a very boring exercise. If you are like me I always believed the harder you went, the better the results you would get, and that unfortunately is just not true. We want to train your body to learn how to utilize fat as a fuel source instead of just sugars and the first step to that is understanding that over-training your body is not the way to do that. Spend some time this week working on this and looking at your workouts. Take a step back, become more efficient as you build strength. Lives too busy not to! As always, I’m here to inspire you to live a life you love through health, happiness & abundance.
