7 Ways to Stay Balanced

Hi it’s Liz & welcome to LizTV.  I’m here to inspire you to live a life of health, happiness & abundance & feel sexy doing that.

I was recently interviewed in a magazine regarding my 7 ways to stay balanced.  And today, I want to share those with you.  I have mentioned some of these in previous LizTV segments, but I wanted you to have the complete list. The first one is breath!  To breathe is one of the best things you can do to stay balanced.  Notice your breath and if you are holding it in.  I've given you a great video on my favorite 5-5-7 breath to use for daily meditative breath work so make sure you watch that.  Breath is life and will support you in everyday living.

The second way to stay balanced is what I call "Tame Your Lion"!  Your body can't distinguish between being chased by a lion or your boss yelling at you.  Your body sees both of these as stress.  When we have too much stress, our Cortisol (stress hormone) levels raise.  With heightened Cortisol levels our body goes into a downward spiral and effect our health negatively.

Third... Move Your Body!  Movement is life and is so important to everyday living.  We were born to move, so find a joyful way to move your body

Four...Find more joy & laugh.  We take life so seriously.  When was the last time you laughed.  Surround yourself with people that bring you joy and make you laugh.  Find one thing you are joyful about everyday.

The fifth way to stay balanced is to create space in your day to do nothing.  I also did a great video on this, so please re-watch that.

Six... Nourish Yourself through great, healthy food.  True medicine is at the end of your fork, so what you choose to put on that fork really matters to your energy & over-all health. Inflammation really hurts our body and nourishing your body everyday is really the best way to decrease inflammation.  Healthy veggies, fruits, high potent grains & protein are all vital for lifelong health.

The final step, 7 is Restore & Rejuvenate... This is so huge!  Sleep is the most important factor in health today because we are all so sleep deprived.  We are a nation living on caffeine, Starbucks is our second home, sleeping pills are at an all time high.  We need to rest & rejuvenate.
